Dance-Drama Will Be Performed
A church rededication has been set at First United Methodist Church in Huntington Beach. The present sanctuary opened July 12, 1981, and the building is now paid for. The Rev. Al Jansen, who was pastor during the building of the church, will deliver the message Sunday during the special services at 9 and 10:15 a.m.
The church has been active in Huntington Beach since 1904. Current pastor Gary Beard said, “The spirit of the old tent city that was there before the oil heritage of Huntington Beach still exists 87 years later in a beautiful, comfortable and modern church.”
