Several hundred gallons of water flowed from a broken four-inch water main Friday near Hancock Park, forcing water to be shut off in the neighborhood for about 90 minutes as crews made repairs. The break was reported about 7:15 a.m. in the 400 block of Wilton Place, said city Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
Shortly before 9 a.m., water was shut off on Wilton Place between 3rd and 5th streets, and on 4th Street between Wilton Place and Van Ness Avenue to allow crews to repair the line, said DWP spokeswoman Dorothy Jensen. The water was turned back on about 10:30 a.m.
