FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Weekly Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Cerritos: Eastbound No. 2 lane; Eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to northbound and southbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 6:30 to 11 a.m. today; bridge repair.

2. Long Beach: Eastbound No. 3, 4 and 5 lanes; Alameda Street to Long Beach Freeway (710) junction, eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to northbound and southbound Long Beach Freeway (710), Alameda Street on-ramp, Santa Fe Avenue on-ramp, Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

3. Long Beach: Westbound No. 6 lane; Atlantic Avenue to Long Beach Freeway (710) junction, westbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to northbound Long Beach Freeway (710), Atlantic Avenue on-ramp to northbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

4. Bell: Southbound No. 4 lane; at Florence Avenue, eastbound and westbound Florence Avenue on-ramps; 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday; drain cleaning.

5. Commerce: Northbound No. 1 and 2 lanes; Washington Boulevard to northbound and southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5) junction, no. 1 lane over the Santa Ana Freeway (5) to Olympic Boulevard off-ramp; 5:30 a.m. to noon Saturday; bridge rail repair.

6. Long Beach: Northbound No. 4, 5 and 6 lanes; westbound Artesia Freeway (91) junction to Alondra Boulevard, Alondra Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

7. Industry: Westbound No. 5 lane; at Workman Mill Road undercrossing; 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; bridge repair.

8. Various Cities: Eastbound and westbound No. 1 lanes; Indiana Avenue to Azusa Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday; sweeping.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

9. Carson: Northbound ramp; Avalon Boulevard off-ramp; 7 a.m. to noon today; landscaping.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

10. Downey: Northbound ramp; Florence Avenue on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; crack sealing.

11. Norwalk: Northbound ramp; Firestone Boulevard on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; crack sealing.

12. Santa Fe Springs: Northbound connector; northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) connector to northbound and southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5); 6 a.m. to noon today; crack sealing.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

13. Commerce: Northbound No. 4 lane; Paramount Boulevard to Washington Boulevard, Paramount Boulevard on-ramp, Slauson Avenue off-ramp, Garfield Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp, Washington Boulevard off-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday; marker repair.

14. Commerce: Southbound No. 4 lane; Triggs Street to Washington Boulevard, Triggs Street off-ramp and on-ramp, Atlantic Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp, Washington Boulevard off-ramp; 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday; marker repair.
