PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Perry Out of Opening Exhibition Game
- Share via
A knee injury will sideline tackle Gerald Perry for the Rams’ exhibition game against the Atlanta Falcons Saturday at Jacksonville, Fla., Coach John Robinson said. He hopes to have Perry back by Tuesday.
Robinson said the starting offensive line against Atlanta will be Robert Cox at left tackle; either Theo Adams, a first-year player from Hawaii, or Neal Fort, a rookie from Brigham Young, at left guard; Trevor Ryals, a rookie from Virginia, at center; Joe Milinchik at right guard, and Jackie Slater at right tackle.
Quarterback Jim Everett had this to say about Robinson’s new hands-on approach to coaching, particularly the Ram running backs: “I think that’s a pretty good indication of how much importance he’s putting on a return to John Robinson football. All the changes around here won’t just be on defense.”
