Share

Center Don Mosebar ended his holdout Tuesday, signing a three-year deal. No terms were disclosed.

“It’s never fun being out of camp,” Mosebar said. “I’m just glad to be here and I’m looking forward to playing.”

Mosebar’s signing leaves the Raiders with one holdout, defensive end Scott Davis.

The Raiders announced they traded veteran safety Vencie Glenn to the New Orleans Saints on for an undisclosed draft choice.

“We were long at the position,” said Steve Ortmayer, Raider director of football operations.

The Raiders signed Glenn during the off season as a Plan B free agent. Glenn, 26, was a starter for the San Diego Chargers since 1986 but was left unprotected after the 1990 season. He was originally a second-round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 1986 before a trade sent him to San Diego.

The Saints needed help at free safety after their starter, Gene Atkins, suffered a dislocated shoulder against Green Bay last night.

Atkins is expected to be out at least two weeks.

Running back Greg Bell suffered a sprained ankle in Monday night’s victory at Dallas. . . . Wide receiver Tim Brown, a Dallas native, bought 48 tickets at a cost of $1,488 for the game.
