S.D. Man Is Fatally Stabbed in Nestor
A 36-year-old San Diego man was stabbed to death early Thursday morning in Nestor, authorities said.
Fernando Fierro Hernandez of the 3700 block of Marzo Street died at UC San Diego Medical Center at 1:58 a.m., said Everett Mauger, a county medical examiner’s investigator.
A friend of Fierro’s called his wife about 1:25 a.m. to say that Fierro had been stabbed near Interstate 5 and Coronado Avenue, San Diego police said.
Fierro’s wife drove to the area and found Fierro lying in the 2200 block of Coronado, police said. She carried him to a nearby fire station for help, and Fierro was then taken to the hospital, police said.
