Wally George is taking another crack at a national TV audience. George’s ultraconservative weekly “Hot Seat” talk show, which originates from Anaheim’s KDOC Channel 56, has been seen for the past several months on the Channel America Television Network. Beginning in October, the New York-based cable network will also begin airing “Hot Seat Highlights,” a weekday program that combines scenes from past shows with newly taped commentaries by George.

The combative host said that next year he will begin taping some shows in cities served by Channel America, including Dallas, Atlanta and New York. “I’ve been getting mail from all over the country, so I’m very pleased,” said George. “This is the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for in eight years of ‘Hot Seat.’ ” The show was syndicated briefly in the early ‘80s.
