CHER BASH: The mayor of Palm Springs, Sonny Bono, will take time out from municipal duties today to sign copies of his book, “And the Beat Goes On,” at the Super Crown bookstore in Laguna Niguel. . . . It will be Hizzoner and refreshments for the store’s grand opening from 3 to 5 p.m. The Bono book, a mini-tome of life with Cher, sells there for $11.95.
