Two Missing Oscars: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has filed a complaint seeking custody of two best picture Oscars the academy believes are being offered for sale. In the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week, the academy said it wants the trophies awarded to the late Lewis Milestone in 1929 and 1931 for “Two Arabian Nights” and “All Quiet on the Western Front.” The statuettes were allegedly stolen from Milestone’s home in 1978.
