Scattered Rain Unlikely to Persist

Share

Scattered rain fell Wednesday on parts of San Diego County, but only trace amounts were recorded, forecasters for the National Weather Service said.

The showers spilled over into coastal and inland areas from the thunderstorms brewing over the mountains and deserts, forecaster Wally Ciegal said.

But the rain evaporated almost as quickly as it fell, with only Ramona and Alpine recording trace amounts, he said. The sporadic showers are not expected to continue through the weekend.

Morning clouds and fog will keep coastal conditions mild, with temperatures at the beach ranging from 68 to 73 today and Friday.
