1 Dead, 3 Hurt in Crash

A woman was killed and three others were injured in a car accident Tuesday night on Interstate 5 in South San Diego.
The car was northbound just south of Coronado Avenue at 8:14 p.m. when it crashed. An unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 3-year-old and a 12-year-old were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital by a Life Flight helicopter. They were in satisfactory condition Tuesday night, hospital officials said.
A man was taken by ambulance to Scripps Memorial Hospital in Chula Vista and treated for minor injuries, fire officials said. The man was the only person wearing a seat belt, fire officials said.
