SANTA ANA : Man Dies of Injuries After Car Accident
A 19-year-old Santa Ana man died Monday night of injuries suffered in a car accident earlier in the day.
Jose Manzano Nava died at 6 p.m. of head injuries while undergoing treatment at UCI Medical Center, police spokeswoman Maureen Haacker said.
The single-car accident occurred near the intersection of Warner Avenue and Harbor Boulevard.
Investigators were at the scene Tuesday morning collecting additional evidence. “We don’t know the cause,” Haacker said. “It is all still under investigation.”
Haacker said that Manzano and a passenger, Raul Diaz, 26, were traveling east on Warner when Manzano’s pickup truck veered out of control.
It jumped the curb, struck a bus bench and rolled over, critically injuring Manzano. Diaz was not hurt.
