BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Harvey Gets Rest After 3rd Save in Row
Bryan Harvey had Tuesday night off after earning his third save in three nights Monday, Manager Buck Rodgers said.
Harvey is 2-3 with 38 saves, and has blown only three. No one has blown fewer except Toronto’s Tom Henke, who has blown one.
Infielder Bobby Rose, on the disabled list because of a sore shoulder, underwent tests and was examined by team orthopedist Lewis Yocum. Rose experienced pain Monday when he threw for the first time since being injured in a collision at second base Aug. 23. The tests were negative. . . . Texas left fielder Monty Farris left the game after being injured while fielding Gary Gaetti’s single in the second inning. Farris was examined by Yocum and taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange for X-rays on his right ankle.
