Crews Rescue Worker Trapped in Manhole

Fire crews rescued a Westlake Village man who was trapped in a 15-foot-deep manhole in Thousand Oaks on Thursday after he fell in and broke his right leg.
It took nearly an hour for Ventura County firefighters to extricate Jay Jargo, 31. He was working with the Bock Co. of Burbank, which had a city contract to raise manhole covers to the level of the new asphalt on East Wilbur Road. Jargo was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks for treatment.
