VENTURA : Bicyclist Critically Injured in Accident
A 39-year-old Ventura bicyclist was reported in critical condition Tuesday after he was struck by a car on Harbor Boulevard in the Ventura Keys area, police said.
Christopher Korzeniowski sustained a head injury when he was broadsided about 2 p.m. by a car driven by Anna Barbarine, 56, of Oxnard, authorities said.
According to a police report, Korzeniowski tried to ride his bicycle across Harbor Boulevard from the south curb near Beachmont Street when he was struck by Barbarine’s southbound car.
Korzeniowski, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, police said.
