Los Alamitos Posts Upset in Volleyball

After trailing Long Beach Poly, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division 4-A, by two games, unranked Los Alamitos rallied to win Thursday in a nonleague girls’ volleyball match at Los Alamitos.

Kelly Kuebler had 17 kills and Kirstin Laird had 31 assists for the Griffins (1-1).

Maria Bowden and LuAnn Petex of Los Alamitos each had nine kills in the 9-15,7-15, 16-14, 15-9, 15-8 victory.
