Bubbly Subs

Share

Most outlets of the Florida fast-food chain Miami Subs sell sparkling wine, ranging from domestic Great Western ($13) to imported Dom Perignon ($89). The Wall Street Journal reports not many people actually order a submarine sandwich and a Dom (though the occasional stretch limo drifts by to do just that); major customers for the more expensive Champagne are men who’ve just remembered their anniversaries.

Next, probably: a gene for putting a little container of ranch-style dressing inside the tomato.
