California IN BRIEF : SILVERADO CANYON : Minor Quake Causes No Damage, Injuries

A “very minor” earthquake shook parts of northeast Orange County Wednesday morning, but caused no damage or injuries, authorities said. Caltech placed it at magnitude 3.0, spokesman Hall Daily said. The earthquake was centered about three miles southeast of Yorba Linda, near Silverado Canyon. Police and fire officials said few people felt the temblor, which only lasted a few seconds. “We didn’t feel nothing,” said Anaheim Police Sgt. Frank Van De Weerd. “Nobody called us on it.”
