Caltrans Plans Road Closures

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

1. Commerce: Southbound No. 4 lane from Washington Boulevard to Bandini Boulevard, plus the No. 2 lane of the Bandini Boulevard off-ramp; 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday; sign repair.

2. South Gate: Northbound No. 4 lane from Firestone Boulevard to Clara Street; 9 to 11 a.m. Monday; sign repair.

3. Various cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes between Humphrey Avenue and the Los Angeles River; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

4. Montebello: Westbound No. 1 lane from Findlay Avenue to Markland Drive; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; drain cleaning.

5. Monterey Park and Montebello: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Atlantic Boulevard to Garfield Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

6. Lakewood: Southbound on-ramp at Del Amo Boulevard; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday; guardrail repair.

7. Long Beach: Northbound on-ramp at Spring Street; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

8. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

9. Norwalk: Northbound No. 2 and 3 lanes from Norwalk Boulevard to Imperial Highway, plus the Norwalk Circle on-ramp, Adoree Street on-ramp and Imperial Highway off-ramp; 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; crack-seal repair.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

10. Long Beach and Wilmington: All northbound and southbound lanes from Anaheim Street to Ocean Boulevard; 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; bridge repair.
