TUSTIN : Two Injured in Head-On Collision

Share

A woman was ejected from her car and a man struck his head against his windshield after the woman apparently ran a red light Monday and collided with an oncoming car in an unincorporated area near Tustin.

The woman was heading west on 17th Street at 1:20 p.m. when she made a left turn onto Holt Avenue against the signal, said California Highway Patrol Officer Angel Johnson. The woman’s car collided head-on with a car traveling east on 17th.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, Johnson said.

The CHP did not release the names of the drivers. Both were taken to area hospitals, Johnson said, but their conditions were not immediately known.
