Birmingham 49, Monroe 13--Vince Lampkin threw three touchdown passes for visiting Birmingham as the Braves (5-0, 3-0) remained undefeated.
Lampkin had scoring strikes of 15 yards to Paul Holt, 30 yards to Patrick Abdelkerim and 23 yards to Mike Moguel. He also ran for a 28-yard touchdown. Lampkin completed six of 10 passes for 125 yards, and rushed for 33 yards in two carries.
Zawayne Scott gained 97 yards in six carries and scored on a 34-yard run in the fourth quarter to give Birmingham a 35-7 lead.
With Monroe (1-4, 1-2) trailing, 7-0, Sean Bell scored on a 21-yard run to tie the score late in the first quarter. Bell gained a game-high 101 yards in 22 carries and scored two touchdowns.
The Birmingham defense held Monroe to a combined seven yards in total offense in the second and third quarters.
