Football--Friday night’s Northwest Valley Conference game between San Fernando and Chatsworth highs was rescheduled as a precautionary measure because of a previous outbreak of racially related violence at Chatsworth. The game, to be played at San Fernando, was moved up 30 minutes and will start at 7:30 at the request of Chatsworth administrators. Three weeks ago, fighting erupted on the Chatsworth campus, prompting the rescheduling of a game between Chatsworth and Kennedy.

“The weather helped tremendously,” said Herazo, 32. “Originally, I was just going to go for the (U. S.) record, but when I saw how nice and cool it was in the morning, I decided to go for the world record.”
