PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Greene Certainly a Man on the Move

Those commercials with the can’t-get-no-respect theme starring Kevin Greene are becoming more true and less funny each week. Greene, who had the most sacks in the NFL over the past three seasons with 46, has one at the halfway point this year.

The Rams threw a lot of different defensive looks at the Atlanta Falcons Sunday and Greene, who used to play every down, was off the field about 25% of the time. After switching Greene from outside linebacker to right defensive end during training camp, Greene has played left defensive end and outside linebacker this season.

Sunday, he was listed as the starting left outside linebacker but played only defensive end.

Where will he be next Sunday?

“I’m not ready to talk about that just yet,” Coach John Robinson said. “I think that comes into game strategies and game plans. We’re trying to move him around, but he’ll be playing both at linebacker and at defensive end.”
