A 25-year-old Reseda woman, arrested Monday on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery, is a suspect in a series of robberies of men lured to secluded locations by a woman posing as a prostitute, Los Angeles police said.

Kristina Reveles was being held without bail at the West Valley jail, Detective Rick Swanston said.

Reveles met a man on the corner of Sherman Way and Mason Street on Monday, and the two walked into a nearby back yard “to discuss an act of prostitution,” Swanston said. During the discussion, “her male accomplice jumped the victim and at knifepoint attempted to rob him of his wallet,” Swanston said.

The man refused to give up his wallet and was stabbed several times in the chest and abdomen, Swanston said. He was listed in critical condition at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. His name was not released.

Investigators say Reveles may have been involved in a rash of similar incidents in the area of Sherman Way and Mason Street. In each case, a woman posing as a prostitute led a potential buyer “to a secluded area, an alley or side street,” where he was robbed by a man, Swanston said.
