A man whose body was found on an embankment at the 24th Street Channel in Chula Vista has been identified as Joseph Marino.
Marino, of the 1400 block of Hilltop Drive in Chula Vista, was found about 3 p.m. Sunday washed up on a boat ramp. There were no obvious signs of injury. The coroner’s office is investigating the death as a possible drug overdose.
Marino, 31, was identified by his wife, a Chula Vista Police Department spokesman said.
