SPORTS ON WEEKEND TV : Local Teams Make the Tube

The USC and UCLA football teams, plus the Kings, Raiders and Lakers, will make appearances on Southland televisions this weekend.
College Football: A week after allowing a school-record 52 points to California, USC (3-5) will face No. 2 Washington (7-0) today. Coverage on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42 begins at 12:30 p.m. No. 22 UCLA (6-2) will seek its fifth consecutive win when it will play Stanford (5-3) at 3:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket. In other games involving teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, No. 19 Ohio State (6-2) will take on Minnesota (2-6) at 9:30 a.m. ESPN; No. 13 Tennessee (5-2) plays at No. 5 Notre Dame (8-1) at 10:30 a.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39; No. 23 Georgia (6-2) meets No. 6 Florida (7-1) at 1 p.m. ESPN (SportsChannel at 8:30 p.m.); No. 15 Clemson (5-1-1) and North Carolina (5-3) play at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Pro Football: The Raiders (5-4) will need a win to remain in contention for the AFC West Division title when they visit the Denver Broncos (7-2) at 1 p.m. Sunday on Channels 4, 36 and 39. The San Francisco 49ers (4-5) will take on the New Orleans Saints (8-1) at 10 a.m. on Channels 2 and 8. ESPN’s 5 p.m. game will match the Miami Dolphins (4-5) and New England Patriots (3-6).
Pro Basketball: In their first home game since the retirement of Magic Johnson, the Lakers will play the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Prime Ticket.
Other Sports: In pro hockey, the Edmonton Oilers will play the Kings tonight at 7:30 on Prime Ticket.
