From Staff and Wire Reports

Bill Wegman, a 51-51 pitcher who has spent 306 days on the disabled list in the past five seasons, has re-signed with the Milwaukee Brewers for $9.5 million over four years.

First baseman Glenn Davis, who played in only 49 games because of a neck injury, re-signed with the Baltimore Orioles for $6.665 million over two years.

Those deals came late Monday night in the final hours of the period during which free agents could deal only with their former clubs.

Wegman, 28, made $440,000 in 1991 and went 15-7 with a 2.84 earned-run average, lowering his career ERA to 4.25. His new deal calls for a $500,000 signing bonus and a salary of $2.25 million per year.

Davis, 30, batted .227 with 10 home runs and 28 runs batted in, all personal lows.
