Arizona State Bans 4 Players for 3 to 6 games

TEMPE, Ariz. — Four Arizona State players, including three starters, will be suspended for three to six games because of their unauthorized use of campus telephones, Athletic Director Charles Harris said Wednesday.
The NCAA has approved the discipline and will take no action against the university, he said.
Jamal Faulkner, last season’s Pacific 10 Conference freshman of the year, and guard Stevin Smith will miss three games in the fall semester. Guard Lynn Collins will miss four games, and forward Dwayne Fontana was penalized six games.
