Chatsworth 24, Van Nuys 12--Montay Hardison rushed for a game-high 108 yards in 23 carries and scored two touchdowns for visiting Chatsworth (7-4), which meets Huntington Park in the second round.

Hardison scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter to give Chatsworth a 14-6 lead, and his one-yard run gave the Chancellors a 21-6 lead.

Van Nuys (5-5) retaliated after recovering a Chatsworth fumble when Bill Calhoun threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Harold Boudreaux to cut the Chancellor lead to 21-12 with 7:55 left.
