The New York Mets said they have made a new offer to free agent Bobby Bonilla and expect a decision will be made Monday or Tuesday.
The Mets, Angels, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates are trying to sign Bonilla, who hit .302 with 18 home runs and 100 runs batted in last season.
