The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8:
Glendale
Norton Avenue, 800 block--Two men and a woman were arrested for cocaine possession after police served a search warrant at a home on Dec. 2 and found a large quantity of the drug there.
East Garfield Avenue, 1100 block--Two men pried open the window of a mail truck at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 3 and stole a tray containing an undetermined number of Social Security checks.
Glendale and Palmer avenues--A woman reported that her coin purse containing $160 was snatched from her hand as she was walking Dec. 5 at 4:50 p.m.
Quail Canyon Road, 5300 block--A woman was assaulted and her purse containing $250 was stolen as she stepped out of her car in the driveway of her home on Dec. 6 at 12:40 a.m.
Barrington Way, 1300 block--An apartment was ransacked and robbed of $3,000 in stereo equipment, clothing, a camera, a VCR and jewelry on Dec. 6 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Arlington and Las Palmas avenues--A man found siphoning gas from a vehicle in an alley was arrested Dec. 6 about 2:40 a.m. After three outstanding arrest warrants were discovered in a records check, car stereo equipment believed stolen and burglar’s tools were found in his car.
York Boulevard and Glendale Freeway--Four young men (one juvenile) were arrested in the armed robberies of two convenience stores (one at 6350 San Fernando Road, the other at 1700 Victory Blvd.) after a vehicle they allegedly stole at gunpoint in Pasadena crashed at 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 7.
South Central Avenue, 500 block--A car was stolen Dec. 7 after four robbers, one armed with a revolver, robbed a man of his keys and wallet as he was talking on a pay phone in a restaurant parking lot.
Chester Street, 300 block--Two men were arrested Dec. 7 for theft of appliances valued at $15,000 from a condominium construction site between Nov. 27 and Dec. 6.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 600 block--The Bank of America was robbed of $4,327 at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 by a robber who pretended to have a gun.
Tulip Tree Lane, 2000 block--About $1,000 worth of firewood recently chopped from a fallen oak was stolen on Dec. 4 at 12:45 p.m.
Atwater
Fletcher Drive, 2600 block--Thieves used torches to cut the padlocks on an auto repair shop and stole a vehicle and tools valued at $5,850 on Dec. 3 or 4.
Glendale Boulevard, 2600 block--A woman reported she was robbed of $10,000 in money, jewelry and precious metals Dec. 4, by a person who tricked her into believing her investment would be doubled.
Eagle Rock
Highland View Avenue, 1900 block--Burglars removed glass panels from a home, pried padlocks off a closet and stole firearms valued at $1,326 on Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m.
York and Eagle Rock boulevards--Two bicycles, valued at $545, were stolen at gunpoint from two cyclists on Dec. 6 at 4:20 p.m.
Echo Park
Oakglen Place, 2200 block--Burglars removed the glass of a rear window of a home and stole $25,000 in cash on Dec. 4 at 8:50 a.m.
Franklin Hill
Evans Street, 3700 block--A woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint in an apartment on Dec. 1 at 9:15 p.m.
Aloha Street, 3800 block--More than $11,000 in computer equipment and clothing was stolen from a garage on Dec. 1 or 2.
Evans Street, 3800 block--Thieves pried open the sliding glass door of an apartment, ransacked it and stole $2,500 in video equipment and a stereo on Dec. 2 between 7:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Glassell Park
Avenue 30, 2700 block--Burglars entered a home by prying open a rear window and stole video equipment, jewelry and precious metals valued at $500 on Dec. 3 between 3:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4300 block--A business was robbed of $101 at knifepoint on Dec. 3 at 8:45 p.m.
Highland Park
North Figueroa Street, 5200 block--Four robbers, one armed with a revolver, entered a bakery, handcuffed witnesses and stole $150 from the register on Dec. 2 at 7:45 p.m.
Avenue 58, 1500 block--Burglars broke into an apartment and took video equipment and money valued at $1,027 on Dec. 5, between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
Los Feliz
North Mariposa Avenue, 1500 block--Money, jewelry and precious metals valued at $2,785 were stolen from an apartment on Dec. 1 between 3 and 6 p.m.
Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--Bank robbers made off with $1,559 on Dec. 4 at noon.
Waverly Drive, 3000 block--A TV and video equipment valued at $2,990 were stolen from a home between 2:15 and 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 8.
Mt. Washington
North Avenue 49, 1000 block--Video equipment and a stereo valued at $2,500 were stolen from a home on Dec. 5 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Hollywood (West Silver Lake
Lexington Avenue, 4800 block--Thieves stole $1,150 from a home on Dec. 2 between 3:30 and 5 p.m.
Hillhurst Avenue, 1800 block--Burglars smashed the window of a market on Dec. 7 or 8 and stole cigarettes and other property valued at $2,400.
Silver Lake
Sunset Boulevard, 2700 block--A fast-food restaurant was burglarized on Dec. 2 or 3, and money, cameras and equipment valued at $1,805 were reported stolen.
Berkeley Avenue and Waterloo Street--One of two thieves snatched a purse valued at $32 from a woman’s shoulders on Dec. 4 at 12:20 p.m.
Hyperion Avenue, 1900 block--Household goods valued at $1,155 were stolen from a home on Dec. 5 between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
