The Price Is Too High for Some, but Football Is Worth It for Others
Thank you for Robert Carmichael’s “Is the Price Too High?” I have a thumb that was broken in high school football and is useless except for predicting the weather. I have a broken nose from college ball that has done permanent “something” to my sinuses and keeps me from scuba diving. These injuries have far outlived the thrill of being on the football team. I think the price of glory is too high.
