San Diego State has received an oral commitment from Ricky Parker, a 6-foot-2, 188-pound defensive back from Sacramento Hiram Johnson High School.
“He’s a phenomenal player,” Johnson Coach Don Dillon said. “The Aztecs are getting a great kid. I’m excited for him.”
Parker, who also visited Washington State, has not yet qualified academically. He plans to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test Saturday. He had 41 unassisted tackles and five interceptions last fall, and he has returned eight kickoffs for touchdowns in the past two seasons.
