HALL OF DELAYS: Let’s see if we have this right. After seven years and more than 90 inductees, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame still has no museum. Groundbreaking for the $65-million project in downtown Cleveland still may be more than a year away. Is anybody embarrassed about this?

“I wouldn’t say anybody is exactly embarrassed,” says William Hulett, co-chairman of the Hall of Fame. “Coming up with $65 million isn’t the easiest thing to do these days. We’ve got $40 million so far and we’re counting on corporate donations from companies such as GM to fill in the rest. But given the state of the economy and the current round of layoffs, nothing is a sure bet anymore. . . . If you know any rock artists out there who might be able to afford to donate some dollars, tell them we can sure use it.”
