‘Auto Clerk’ Machine to Collect Motorists’ Fines
Long Beach Municipal Court will take a technological leap forward Thursday with the start-up of “Auto Clerk,” a 24-hour automated kiosk that the public may use to pay traffic and moving violation fines.
Two of the kiosks, similar to automated bank teller machines, will be located outside the main entrance of the courthouse at 415 W. Ocean Blvd. The machines offer “touch screen” operation with instructions in English and Spanish.
Auto Clerk will also provide available court dates and schedule appearances when necessary, as well as give detailed information on Small Claims Court filing, trial and post-judgment procedures.
