Diamond Bar : Building Rules Proposed

Share

The General Plan Advisory Committee has proposed development guidelines for two professional office zones with a maximum height of eight stories in each.

The committee on Saturday recommended height limits of five to eight stories in the interior of the 50-acre office and retail center at the southeast corner of Golden Springs Drive and Grand Avenue. Buildings facing the intersection would be limited to one story.

The group also suggested that buildings in the hillside Gateway Corporate Center, at the intersection of the Orange Freeway (57) and the Pomona Freeway (60), should be laid out to preserve each other’s views.

Structures visible from the 57 freeway or the interchange could be only six stories high, and those along the east side of Copley and Bridge Gate drives could rise to eight stories.

The Advisory Committee’s next meeting in its review of the city’s proposed General Plan is scheduled for Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the South Coast Air Quality Management District, 21865 E. Copley Drive in Diamond Bar.
