The badly decomposed body of a 50-year-old woman found at a San Diego park this week was identified by police Thursday as that of a missing person they have been seeking for more than a month, a police spokesman said.
The body of Margaret E. Rodriguez, found in a wooded area near the south end of Marian R. Bear Natural Park in Clairemont at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, was identified as that of a woman who was reported missing Dec. 27, spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Rodriguez, a transient who lived out of a pickup truck in the Clairemont area, was last seen Nov. 27 leaving a Clairemont bar with an unidentified man, Robinson said.
Her truck was discovered on Onondaga Avenue in Clairemont on New Year’s Eve, he said.
Rodriguez may have been dead for two months, authorities said.
