Leach’s Doubles Team in Indoor Tennis Final

Jon Leach, a Laguna Beach High graduate now a USC sophomore, and Brian MacPhie, advanced to the final of the Rolex National Indoor Intercollegiate Tennis Championships with a 6-4, 6-2 semifinal victory over Michael Shyjan and Michael Zimmerman of Harvard, 6-4, 6-2, Saturday in Eden Prairie, Minn.

Today, Leach and MacPhie will face Chuck Coleman and David DiLucia of Notre Dame, who defeated top-seeded Dan Kronauge and Paul Kruse of Ball State, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Leach and MacPhie defeated Coleman and DiLucia in a dual match in October.

This is the second consecutive tournament in which Leach and MacPhie have reached the final. The pair won the Adidas Invitational in Indian Wells on Jan. 26.
