GARDEN GROVE — A 22-year-old man was found dead on the lawn of a home early Monday, apparently of a knife wound, police said.
Police, who are calling the case a suspicious death, identified the man as Dung Tuan Doan, a transient who lived in the Garden Grove and Santa Ana areas.
Police said a resident of a single family home at 10691 Catalina St. called them about 6:40 a.m. after seeing the body on the front lawn.
“We’re not sure about the circumstances of the death,” Lt. Chuck Gibbs said. “Due to the injury, it appears the subject bled to death.”
The county coroner’s office scheduled an autopsy for today.
“At this point we’re not ruling out homicide,” Gibbs said.
