Orlando Became Magic’s Kingdom

He comes barreling down the court, eyes rolling, he breaks the double-team, drives the lane, makes a spectacular hook shot and creates the three-point play magnificently. High-fives abound from his teammates, an expansive smile lights up his face and the fans are out of their seats cheering.

The message seems to be that in spite of the fact he was careless about whom he slept with, in spite of the fact he put his wife and unborn child at risk, Magic Johnson is being honored further. The message is so clear: If you are an outstanding athlete, you are still looked up to and given the highest accolades possible.

I think this is a frightful message to the young people of this country who admire him so much.
