A lot of experience, but from a so-so team. The Knights figure to be in the hunt for the playoff spot, but how high they finish in the league standings will depend how much they have improved. “These kids have come a long way,” Sedoo said. “But I don’t know whether we’ll get there or not.” Pitching will be the key. Schwary was 5-3 last season but will be looked on to be the ace. Jordan was used sparingly last season and will be expected to pitch more innings. Paisley and Pozzie are inexperienced but have shown some ability. “I have high hopes for our pitching staff,” Sedoo said. Pearson gives the Knights a quality hitter; he had a .406 average last season. In the field, Trentine moves from third base to catcher, where he will need time to get comfortable. Vlcek was erratic at shortstop but has talent. In the end, there should be enough to get the Knights to the playoffs “That’s what we’re shooting for,” Sedoo said.
