Public’s Help Sought in Hunt for Hit-and-Run Driver
Los Angeles police are seeking the public’s help to find a hit-and-run motorist who struck and seriously injured a 3-year-old girl as she ran across the street toward an ice cream truck.
Patricia Jimenez, who suffered a head injury, is recovering at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, said Detective Bill Whittaker. The toddler was struck shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday in front of her southwest Los Angeles home in the 1300 block of West 62nd Street, he said.
The suspect’s car is described as a white 1978-1980 Cadillac, with gray primer on the right side and a white California license plate. It was westbound on 62nd Street, driven by a man, Whittaker said.
