Pop Album Chart : Brooks Keeps His Reign on Top
The effect on record sales of all that Grammy show TV exposure will start to kick in next week. One album that should rise is Michael Bolton’s “Time, Love and Tenderness,” now No. 5. Marc Cohn, surprise winner of the best new artist award, should also reap benefits for his album, “Marc Cohn,” which already jumped from No. 105 to No. 78. Vanessa Williams’ “The Comfort Zone” (No. 38) continues to be one of the fastest rising albums on the chart.
* Ugly Kid Joe, a young hard rock band from Santa Barbara, has a red-hot album--”As Ugly as They Want to Be”--which jumped from No. 53 to No. 36.
