A federal judge in Reno set ground rules for the NCAA’s suit that challenges a Nevada law requiring the organization to follow standards of legal due process in dealing with alleged rules violations.
Attorneys for the NCAA, the University of Nevada System Board of Regents, Nevada Las Vegas basketball Coach Jerry Tarkanian, and other defendants appeared for a brief status conference.
U.S. District Judge Howard McKibben said no witnesses would be allowed to testify at the March 13 trial in Las Vegas.
