Two Boys Airlifted to Trauma Centers After Being Injured in Drive-By Shooting

Two boys playing outside a Hyde Park apartment complex were injured Saturday night in a drive-by shooting.
The boys, a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old, were listed in stable condition at two local hospitals after the 8:40 p.m. shooting in the 6100 block of South 11th Avenue.
A helicopter landed near Crenshaw High School to airlift the children to area trauma centers.
Police investigating the shootings refused to release any further details Saturday evening.
