South Pasadena : Bulletproof Vests OKd
Reserve police officers in South Pasadena will gain the extra protection of bulletproof vests under a spending measure approved by the City Council last week.
At the request of Police Chief Thomas Mahoney, the council Wednesday appropriated $10,000 for weapons and bulletproof vests for the department’s 22 volunteer officers.
The money will be drawn from the city’s asset forfeiture fund.
