It took 11 police officers 20 minutes to disperse an unruly crowd of about 100 people after a disturbance outside a Ventura restaurant early Saturday morning, police said.

Ventura Police Officer Bob MacInnes was driving by the Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Restaurant on Telephone Road about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when he saw a fight in the parking lot.

When the officer tried to search Paul Medina, 32, of Camarillo, a struggle broke out. Police said that several other fights erupted in the crowd and more officers were called to the scene.
