A young Harvard eight won the Copley Cup for the second consecutive year Sunday, capping the 19th annual San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay.

In a tight four-boat duel, Harvard and Pennsylvania made it an all-Ivy League finish, with Harvard edging Penn by a bow length. On the clock, that meant an edge of 0.38 seconds.

The victory provided Harvard Coach Harry Parker with his sixth Copley Cup.

In the featured women’s race, Washington won the Whittier Cup by 1 1/2 seconds over defending champion Boston University.
