Change of Seasons: Twentieth Century Fox has postponed the release of the film “The Last of the Mohicans” from this summer until the fall, saying it wants to put the movie in the best position for consideration for Academy Awards nominations. Directed by Michael Mann (of TV’s “Miami Vice”), the film stars Oscar-winner Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe in an adventure/romance set against the war between England and France and their American Indian allies. It’s based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper and on the 1936 screenplay by Philip Dunne.
