A North Hollywood man and teen-age boy were arrested Tuesday after they allegedly shot from a car at two students at Walter Reed Junior High School in North Hollywood, authorities said. No one was injured.

Jesse Garsa, 19, and a 15-year-old boy were arrested after they and two companions fired shots at two boys who were on the school’s athletic field about 12:50 p.m. during a lunch break, Los Angeles Unified School District police said. Officers found the car at Vineland Avenue and Sherman Way, where they apprehended one of the suspects at a gas station, police said. Three others fled but were later found in the basement of an adjacent apartment building.

Police said Garsa drove the car and that the 15-year-old fired the shots, but no weapon was recovered. The two companions were released. None of the four attend Reed.

Police said they were also questioning Garsa and the 15-year-old about a gang-related shooting about a mile away in which an 18-year-old man was wounded in the leg a few minutes before the Reed incident. Detectives said they were also investigating a possible connection with a shooting Monday in which a suspected gang member was wounded near Sun Valley Junior High School.
